The GMC Yukon is a full-size SUV that completely dominates the road and eclipses the competition. With seating capacity for up to eight people, it's particularly ideal for large families and crews, and for those who need additional interior space, there's also the option of an extra-large Yukon XL model.
The GMC Yukon offers shoppers the choice of three different engine options. A 5.3-liter V8 engine, standard across most trim levels, delivers 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. A 6.2-liter V8 engine, only available on more advanced trims, boasts 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. The available 3.0-liter turbodiesel engine features 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.
Each engine features a 10-speed automatic transmission and the choice of either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. When it's equipped with the 5.3-liter engine and rear-wheel-drive system, the Yukon can reach a maximum towing capacity of up to 8,400 pounds. The AT4 and Denali trims can tow up to 8,200 pounds, while the Denali Ultimate can handle up to 8,000 pounds.
The new GMC Yukon comes standard with a wealth of useful exterior features, including LED headlights and taillights, LED fog lamps, rain-sensing windshield wipers and manual liftgate. Seven color options are available on the entry-level trim, including white, black, beige, titanium, blue metallic, sterling metallic and red tintcoat. Inside the cabin, the Yukon features tri-zone automatic climate control, wrapped steering wheel and comfortable cloth seating.
While the Yukon normally can fit up to eight people, you can also choose the optional second-row captain's chair, reducing the seating capacity to seven. With rear seats up, the Yukon has a cargo capacity of up to 25.5 cubic feet, but you can expand the capacity to almost 123 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down.
The GMC Yukon features a 12-inch digital driver gauge and 10.2-inch infotainment system with built-in Google services, Wi-Fi hotspot capabilities and Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration. USB ports, a six-speaker audio system and keyless entry all come standard, as well. Peace of mind and security come standard with the Yukon's generous safety features, including forward collision alert, following distance indicator, lane-keep assist and front and rear park assist. More advanced safety features such as adaptive cruise control, rear pedestrian alert, trailer side blind zone alert and an HD surround vision camera are all available on higher trims.
